Youth Scholarships

Every year the Alberta Ten Pin Association holds a Youth Scholarship Tournament. Currently this tournament runs during the regular youth league bowling sessions. There are two categories, doubles and singles. Each week of the qualifying period scores are recorded for the youth throughout Alberta. At the end of the in-league tournament scholarship funds are allotted. These funds are deposited into each individual’s SAFE (Scholarship Awards For Education) account with CTF (Canadian Ten Pin Federation). These funds are available until the athlete turns 22. Funds can be used for any educational component, classes, books, etc.

To claim funds from SAFE a request with an accompanying receipt or quote is submitted to CTF.

Scholarship funds are also provided by the Bowling Federation of Alberta (BFA) to our top male and female senior youth bowlers participating in the Youth Provincials Tournament.

For information regarding how to obtain BFA Scholarship Funds owing to you, please contact the BFA Executive Director at info@bfab.ca.
